You see so much on the school run. One parent told us: “We've walked since 2011 when my daughter started pre-school. We see the seasons change, we've seen foxes, squirrels, birds and all sorts on our walks!” View Post
Hands up Survey Stockton 2017
We are asking every school class in Stockton-on-Tees to take part in the Hands-up Travel to School survey.
This survey is being taken to better understand how children travel to school in Stockton-on-Tees. It should only take about 10 minutes during a normal school class and if you have any questions on how to take this survey with your class, please call our team.
Take the survey online or on paper, you choose.
Simply ask your pupils during class by a show of hands how they currently travel to school and then how they would prefer to travel to school and note the answers.
Then, choose a way to return survey results
ONLINE: Complete this survey and it's done!

The information in this survey is used to better understand how children get to school and help to secure funding for better and safer ways for children to get to school sustainably. At present, we offer programmes like Bikeability (Darlington and Recar & Cleveland), Pedestrian training (to Year 3 pupils in Stockton) and Junior Road Safety Officer programmes in schools across the Tees Valley.
In Darlington, this survey has been conducted every year since 2004 and we now have a really good picture of how children in Darlington are travelling to school over time.
