A guided ride through Wynyard Woodland Park
Dates: Tuesday 28 August 2018
Time: 10.00 am to 1.00 pm
Location: Meeting Point – Wynyard Woodland Park Station/Visitor Centre
Ride level: Moderate (all off-road, 12 mile length)
How to book: Although this ride is free booking is essential. Visit the Wheel Education site to secure your place
An off-road cycle through the woods at Wynyard to Hurworth Burn, suitable for children. This is a moderate ride due to the length, 12 miles, so suitable for older children and teenagers.
Enjoy a gentle ride through Wynyard Woodland Park and onto Castle Eden Walkway to Hurworth Burn.
Although this ride is free booking is essential. Visit the Wheel Education site to secure your place.
The ride includes a stop for drinks and a longer stop to eat, so bring a picnic and make the most of it.
As the weather could be really hot or cool and damp and sometimes both during the same ride so please be prepared by bringing the following items:
- Sun cream
- Rain jacket
- Gloves (both to keep warm and to protect in the event of falls)
- Picnic/packed lunch
- Helmet (all children must wear a helmet)
- Bike lock
