Enjoy an 8 mile child-friendly ride from Hemlington Lake to Stewart Park in Middlesbrough.

A gentle ride using the Middlesbrough cycle network. Ride level is moderate, including some cycling along quieter residential streets.

The ride includes a stop for drinks and a longer stop to eat, so bring a picnic and make the most of it.

As the weather could be really hot or cool and damp and sometimes both during the same ride so please be prepared by bringing the following items:

  • Sun cream
  • Rain jacket
  • Gloves (both to keep warm and to protect in the event of falls)
  • Drinks
  • Picnic/packed lunch
  • Helmet (all children must wear a helmet)
  • Bike lock
