Win a ‘Poet for a day’ at your school

Competition closes at midnight on Monday 9th February 2020, with winners chosen on the 10th of February. Any registrations on line received after midnight on Monday 9th February 2020 will not be entered into the competition.
Entries will be collated and winners will be drawn from that list. The random draw will take place on Wednesday 10th February 2020 and winners will be notified within 7 days either by email message using the email address used for the competition entry; or by calling the school’s that were registered for the competition.
There will be five winning schools in Tees Valley. The prize is a day of working with Bernard Young, a published performance poet to work with the pupils at the school chosen. The workshops are about ½ day at your school with primary aged school children. The day ends with a performance of the songs/poems created by the children.
All registrants for the prize must be full-time employees at the school and must be over 18 years of age. The winning school must be located in Tees Valley or in one of the following local authorities: Darlington, Stockton-on-Tees, Hartlepool, Redcar & Cleveland or Middlesbrough. The offer of the prize is to be accepted the day that it is offered and no negotiations will be entered into to change the prize. For the avoidance of doubt, there is no cash alternative. If the school winner does not accept the prize another school will be randomly chosen.
The winners will be selected at random by members of staff from the Darlington and Middlesbrough Road Safety team along with staff from Let’s Go Tees Valley.
The promoter is Let’s Go Tees Valley and their decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The name of the prize winners will be available by sending a self-addressed envelope to Let’s Go Tees Valley Marketing and Communications Officer, Room 417, Town Hall, Darlington DL1 5QT.
Entry into the prize will be deemed to constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions. Should you wish to withdraw your entry please call 01325 40 50 40.
