Living Streets WOW - the year-round walk to school challenge for Tees Valley Primary Schools
Let's get more children walking, cycling, scooting to school!
Living Streets works with Tees Valley schools to encourage children to walk, cycle and scoot to school. More children walking to school helps to make roads around schools less congested and helps improve air quality around schools in our region.
To encourage more children to walk to school we are looking for 20 primary schools across Tees Valley that would like to be funded to take part in the Living Streets WOW Walk to School Challenge in the upcoming 2021/22 academic year beginning in September 2021. The year-round walk to school challenge is explained more in the video above. Even if parents/carers drive to school the challenge encourages parking further away from the school gates.
The Tees Valley schools chosen will be fully funded by the Tees Valley Combined Authority, and supported by their local authority (Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland, and Stockton-on-Tees) and Let's Go Tees Valley.
If you think this challenge would benefit your school, your pupils, and the wider community around the school we would like to hear from you.
This form is only a registration of interest to be considered for funding for Living Streets WOW for the academic year of 2021/22 - any school that registers interest will be notified of which schools were chosen.
