Tees Valley children have lots to say about walking to school!
In March of this year, in conjunction with TFM Radio, we invited five primary schools from across Tees Valley to take part in learning how to make a radio advertisement promoting the benefits of walking to school.
Here's what the children had to say, along with their fantastic artwork that was used to create digital billboards and a fun animation highlighting the fun of walking on the school run. Their rhyming ideas are sure to catch on!
Listen to the four final radio ads, currently playing on TFM radio:
Walking and talking is the solution = less Pollution
The teachers notice the difference when children walk to school
Even if it's just once a week, take the first steps together!
This month take some time with your kids and walk to school. Children grow up fast and the walk to school is a simple way to connect and spend time together (whatever the weather!).
It's good for you, and it's fun for them!
Thank you to all the school children across Tees Valley that helped us 'show and tell' what they like about walking to school.
Also, a big thank you to the educators and staff and pupils at Redhall Primary School (Darlington), Eskdale Primary School in Hartlepool, Caldicotes Primary School in Middlesbrough, Skelton Primary School in Redcar & Cleveland and Roseberry Primary School in Stockton on Tees.
