Have some time to spare to get hands on in a local project?

Bike Stop in Darlington have been so successful with responses to their appeals for donated bikes that they now need more volunteers!

We popped in to their Skinnergate-based shop with Gary Philipson from BBC Radio Tees today to have a chat about what they are looking for.

Do you:

  • Enjoy practical projects?
  • Have some basic bike maintenance skills?
  • Have time to spare to volunteer on a regular basis?

If you answered YES to all of these then Bike Stop needs you to help them recycle and upcycle bikes for re-sale!

They have a large number of bikes that need TLC to turn them into saleable items for the charity. Whether you are looking for a fun way to meet like-minded people, retired or a student looking for some extra workpace experience for your CV over the summer, get in touch.
