Let's Go to Freshers: Cheaper bus travel for under 19s

Cheaper travelling to and from College (and what fun we had!)
Getting ready for college or university can be stressful! A new part of town, a new town or even a different part of the country.
What do you take, how do you get there and how much will it cost?
For new students in Tees Valley help is at hand in the form of our friendly Let’s Go Tees Valley travel advisors.
Our intrepid face to face team have been touring the length and breadth of Tees Valley visiting college Freshers events to help students with their travel arrangements.
Their message is simple:
- You don’t always need a car to get to college or uni
The team can help students plot their journeys by bus and with:
- How under 19s can get their hands on cheaper bus tickets in Tees Valley
- Savings on train travel with the 16-25 Railcard
- Which buses and trains to get, what times they leave and where to catch them, using journey planners like the one on our website
And of course they have given out oodles of pens and had a great time!
Other options for travel include:
It’s a new academic year with fun times ahead! Good luck to all of our students.
