Ride Darlo British Cycling rides

Ride Darlo is a group that runs a series of bike rides in Darlington in association with HSBC UK & British Cycling. Part of the Let’s Ride / Guided Rides programme, their rides are designed for fun, recreation, socialising and enjoyment, whilst at the same time meeting new people and light exercise.

Bike Rides in Hartlepool

From coast to countryside, Hartlepool has many beautiful cycle routes to enjoy, from beginners and improvers to more experienced riders.

Our bike rides are no more than 15 miles in length and will include refreshment breaks and a coffee stop. What's cycling without cake!

Hartlepool to Teesmouth Ride: Fun, gentle ride along the coast to the Teesmouth Nature Reserve and back. Meet at Maritime Avenue roundabout where it meets the cycle route south.

Rides in Middlesbrough

With the River Tees at the heart of Middlesbrough's cycle network, there are hundreds of miles of safe routes to enjoy.

Let's Go Tees Valley bike rides are no more than 11 miles in length and will include refreshment breaks and a coffee stop. What's cycling without cake!

Sunday 10 October, 10am, Albert Park

Book ride

Park to Park Ride: Gentle ride from Alber Park to Stewart Park on quiet traffic-free cycle paths, and back to Albert Park. Meet at the south end of the lake in Albert Park.

Distance: 8 miles

    

Middlesbrough Environment City bike rides

Middlesbrough Environment City runs free guided bike rides for beginners and improvers every week on Mondays and Wednesdays. They have easy rides for people who want to stick to cycle paths and quiet roads, and moderate rides for people happy riding on roads, quieter residential roads and some non-technical off-road. Each ride is led by an experienced leader.

No need to book, just turn up and ride (with a bike and helmet)!

Meet at the main gates on Linthorpe Road. Easy ride, 5-10 miles. Finish by 11.30am

1pm: Transporter Bridge Ride

Meet at the Transporter Bridge Visitor Centre. Moderate ride, 10-20 miles. Finish by 3pm.

  

Wednesday rides:

10am: Transporter Bridge Ride

Meet at the Transporter Bridge Visitor Centre. Moderate ride, 10-20 miles. Finish by 12pm.

1pm: Albert Park Ride

Meet at the main gates on Linthorpe Road. Easy ride, 5-10 miles. Finish by 2.30pm

Other group rides

We're delighted to support The Thornaby FunRiders Group (TFG)! The group meets on various days throughout the week to offer short and medium-length funrides, from people just starting out to seasoned cyclists. 

Rides days and times are as follows:

  • Tuesday 6pm
  • Thursday 6pm
  • Friday 3pm
  • Saturday 10am
  • Sunday 10am

There is also a longer leisurely ride, once a month on a Sunday, starting Sunday 6th June.
